Auckland PACK & COOL Facilities

  • Our pack house operates a 4 lane Compac grader and sizer with the capacity to pack up to 4000 trays per hour.
  • Additionally a Compac two lane grader enables us to simultaneously pack class 2 fruit whilst packing Class 1 fruit.
  • Our on-site lab enables testing for fruit pressure, brix, pest, and colour, which allows us to accurately crop forecast and optimize harvest timing, along with measuring and maintaining fruit quality postharvest.


  • We operate 9 conventional coolstores each with a capacity to store between 400-1600 Euro pallets, as well a pre-cooling strore. 
  • All coolstorage and operating staff comply with stringent health and safety requirements, as set by Zespri and BRC. Our stores are dry and secure with 24 hour security and camera surveillance. We have regular inspections by a pest monitoring service. Stores are also equipped with temperature alarms monitored 24 hours/day.
  • These coolstores are available as dry store or cool storage in our off-season.

Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Stores

  • In addition to the coolstore facilities above, we have 4 Controlled Atmosphere (CA) sealed stores each with a 1420 15-bushel bin capacity. All rooms are fitted with Ethylene scrubbers. CA atmospheres are regularly checked throughout the season.
